Once Upon a Diamond is currently in the development stage of production.. A preliminary budget has been completed.

Meetings with the Greater Fort Dodge Growth Alliance and Produce Iowa director, Liz Gilman, have been set to discuss the film. Once financing is in place, pre-production will be started.

A preliminary budget and gross receipt estimates have been completed. Several comparison movie budgets and gross receipts numbers were used to estimate our budget and estimated gross receipts. A Current similar movie is “12 Mighty Orphans” -- underdog high school football players in 1938. It is based on a true story of orphans in a Texas Masonic Orphanage and was released June 11, 2021. It is currently showing in theaters.

We have seen the movie, and it parallels “Once Upon a Diamond’s “ David vs. Goliath conflict. After watching the film July 25th, we heard movie goers leaving the theater. Comments unanimously were that “12 Mighty Orphans” was one of the best movies they had seen in years. People do love an underdog, especially when it is a true story!
